When you book a train ticket every train ticket have own pnr status, that pnr number showed the status like
CNF:his means your ticket is Confirmed.
RAC: This stands for Reservation Against Cancellation, indicating that you have a spot on the train. While your reservation isn’t fully confirmed yet, you can board the train.
WL: This means you’re on the Waiting List. You’ll only secure a confirmed ticket if someone cancels their booking. If the chart is prepared and your PNR still shows WL, you won’t be able to board.
CAN: This indicates that your ticket has been Cancelled.
